There are so many small French children’s fashion labels with chic effortless style collections and perfect looking blogs from their owners. Just recently I was contacted by Valérie Chaptal who is the designer of Marie et Rose-Alice and whose beautiful daughter models her collection online for the company blog and e-store.

She has recently started to export to Korea and has been retailing for 6 years. Her sweet bloomer shorts, skinny jeans and loose tops are the ideal clothes to run around in for the summer months for young girls, pretty, chic and yet they also have a sense of freedom about them.

Her blog regularly updates with new styles inbetween lifestyle posts on life in Lille with her family.

Gant, a closer look at fall / winter 2012/13 children’s fashion preview.

I posted the other day here the look book preview from Gant for kids fashion next winter 2012. Yesterday I got a closer look at the styles and I have to say I am really loving the traditional Nordic patterned sweaters and the use of traditional fairisle in different colour tones and silhouettes.

Some closer up shots here of the collection plus a first look at some of the great textiles for the home they are showing. I feel a very traditional Christmas coming on next December!

Back to rain in the UK, a Barbour is just the thing for Kids fashion rainwear, back in fashion for the city set.

If there’s one thing you need in England when it rains its a good waxed Barbour jacket, newly popular amongst the masses this has been a brand for the country set for generations, now with a full kids collection too it has gained a new popularity in the country and both in the city and on the football terraces!

A sharpening up of the image and an addition in the ranges to the iconic classics have managed to reinvent the classic waxed jacket and with a Paul Smith collaboration for the coming winter men’s collection and Alice Temperley tackling the women’s styles this is just set to get stronger.

Oliver + S paper sewing patterns for children’s clothes now at Liberty store in the UK.

Another great find at Liberty for creative parents who wander up to the fabrics floor are these wonderful paper patterns for kids from Oliver + S , a great selection of pretty cotton fabrics and some interesting sewing books too.

Only available usually in New York its great to see these in London and I just love the retro style covers. There is a whole counter devoted to kids sewing and style with additional items from the Knitlympics book with knitted star athletes and some quirky pretty peg dolls too.

Gant boys and girls for winter 2012, fashion preview for next winters preppie kids

Although the companies origins are in the USA Gant is now produced in Europe but retains all the hallmarks of the American preppie style of the parent company.

A quick sneak preview of the children’s winter 2012 line with classic preppie favourites such as the flag sweater, the sleeveless padded jerkin, the plaid skirt and the toggle coat showing that nothing gets in the way of a good original idea.
