Boden shows off Mini Boden and Johnnie B at their fall / winter 2013 press preview

I am so impressed with the effort that Boden go to for their bi-annual press shows, this one for fall 2013 featured a display of sock monkeys, sewn from Boden socks by the staff in dozens of variations.

The display was backed up with giant wall posters which had a massive impact at entire wall sizes and the kids clothing ranges had plenty of new prints and styles to keep those who have been critical about the company’s reliance on key staples happy.

For girls there is a retro feel with lots of pretty print dresses and skirts in unique textiles and also some Tromph L’oeil dresses which seem to be shaping up into a trend for this coming winter.

For boys there is a new emphasis on variations of shirting, a simple blue blazer jacket and a fun Scottie intarsia sweater.

Jigsaw Junior knobbly tweeds and silk velvets for fall/ winter 2013 kidswear trends

Jigsaw Junior’s girlswear collection for winter 2013 was shown yesterday and there are some very delightful items coming from them for childrenswear in the fall.

I especially liked the military style red collared peacoat, the fake fur collared tweed greatcoat and the mini fox print 70′s style retro dress.

For womenswear there was also a rather lush looking section of soft pink and fleshy toned coats and oversized sweaters, one of the key colours to come through for the autumn trends.

Joules kidswear line Little Joule carried on with their country farmer vibe for fall 2013 kids fashion.

With some very bright and bold knitwear and prints mixed into the classic rugby shirt mix of the label this gave an overwhelming blast of colour for wintry grey days.

New looks for back to school pieces, namely lunch boxes and pencil cases added to the accessory line with retro styling.

Caramel Baby and Child for fall 2013 features beautiful combinations of autumnal grey, browns and sludgy greens with vivid red, turqouise and orange accents.

The label caters for babies, boys and girls and is strong on their own generated prints and patterned sweaters which are now replicated in a home blanket collection too.
