Minimal kids fashion at Miss L. Ray for summer 2019 with architectural inspired shapes plus a feminine touch.
A neutral palette of cream and white is broken up with bursts of primary “crayon” colours such as yellow, violet blue and fuchsia.
Architecture drives the shapes of the collection with clean, uncluttered lines complemented by the occasional considered pleat, ruffle and flounce.
The starting point and a backdrop for the collection was the spirit of Frida Kahlo and her eclectic way of dressing she used to express of the complexities that she encountered, delivering a collection that is feminine, romantic yet strong just like Kahlo herself.
The Miss L.Ray campaign was shot on the grounds of the famous Wotruba Church in Vienna.
The modernist chapel takes its name from the visionary sculptor behind its creation, Fritz Wotruba. It was built in 1974 from 152 concrete blocks, bolted together like a Jenga tower in mid-tumble. The windows are built into the irregular spaces between the blocks.
