Dot to Dot London kidswear for SS19 showed with independent labels as the only kids fashion trade show now in London after the demise of Bubble London.
A lot of the UK market is based on baby and toddler ages, partly as gifting is a strong element and partly due to the fact that we have a strong tradition of school uniforms here in the UK so parents don’t have to buy for everyday wear.
Occasion wear and good winter coats are the other strong performers.
London has seen some very good brands created in the UK but sadly without a premier fair here which can attract overseas buyers they all progress to show in either Paris or Florence to reach a wider market.
Dot to Dot London remains the best UK showcase for those new brands starting out that would be lost with the huge amount of exhibitors at these overseas shows ( 500+) and can begin the process of knowing the press and buyers in a more intimate situation.
It’s a great place to discover new names and brands that are not in every other kidswear store. The kids fashion trends here are in line with other fairs visited this season with lots of colour, soft tones and floral prints and an emphasis on organic and sustainable production.
