Two perfect mini fashionista Christmas gift books today.
First up Terrific Timelines Fashion just published by Laurence King Publishing Terrific Timelines Fashion. One of the Terrific Timelines series with pop out characters to make a timeline from antiquity to the 20th Century and beyond.
This should keep the offspring occupied for hours on a wet winter’s day. Each page explains the style of the era and is a good grounding on historical silhouettes for would be fashionista’s.
Just published in the UK the recommended age is 7 – 11 and the retail price is £12.99 and its selling out fast, when I checked Amazon only had a few copies left.
For older teen fashionista kids there is the wonderful GingerNutz Takes Paris illustrated and written by fashion maestro Michael Roberts. Based on the life of fashion model and then Vogue Fashion editor Grace Coddington this is the second in the series. GingerNutz was Michael’s affectionate name for her and he created the character as an orangutan with superb fashion sense.
Those in the know will recognise fashion insiders. GingerNutz Takes Paris is published by MW Editions and full of gorgeous illustration the retail price is £22.00.
