There were plenty of new names at Playtime Paris kids fashion trends for winter 2018 edition this season as the trade fair enlarged to accommodate exhibitors who had previously been at the now defunct ‘The Kid Show’.
New independent small exhibitors and kids fashion launches from adult collections also added to the freshness. The fair in general felt busier than the summer edition and there is a better mood in the air everywhere this season.
Below is my pick of the new names I saw with some key items from some of the main labels at Playtime Paris as well. many of the European exhibitors will be soon heading over to America for the Playtime New York edition.
Kids fashion trends spotted in Pitti Bimbo are also seen here with lots of sports styling, military style shirts and details and Victorian or Edwardian historical collars and sleeves for girlswear.
Ethical concerns are growing with many labels now offering organic textiles and dyes and sustainable manufacturing. Knitwear was also very important this season with new knitwear exhibitors showing strong designs and use of colour.

City Goats use only organic textiles and organic plant dyes and had a brilliant wool coat for kids fashion fall 2018
