Pitti Bimbo kids show celebrates its 90th edition January 2020. The kids fashion fair held twice yearly in Florence, Italy has incredibly now been running for 45 years!
And you all thought kids fashion was a modern phenomenon!
Here is the news from the next edition straight from the press office with some beautiful shots that photographer Abi Campbell took at the last January edition which this season will be showcasing fall/winter 2020/21.
At the next edition there will be 40 brands from the UK exhibiting with 7 that have never been before. The January edition is always busier than the summer and last year saw 81 companies from the UK travel to buy with 173 individual buyers between them. As a whole Pitti sees around 10,000 visitors in total.
Florence has established itself as the most important trade show for the kids world press and buyer with a total of 501 brands seen by 6,400 buyers from over 60 international countries.
Christina Rohde and Caroline Bosmans are two of the new names at the fair familiar to lovers of cool kids fashion.
The top floor of the Central Pavillion remains dedicated to the Kids Lab. An area encompassing collections in KidsFizz, EcoEthic, The Nest and Kid’s Evolution from independent and smaller brands, some established and some just breaking through.
One of the highlights of the 90th edition will be a prototype concept store by CILAB and The Playful Living which focuses on the effects of digital transformation in the retail world.
Catwalk shows are still being finalised but are likely to include Children’s Fashion from Spain and Portugal, Apartment and Kids Fizz at the fair with Monnalisa and Il Gufo in town locations and Emilio Pucci holding breakfast at the Pucci Palazzo.
