Goodordering cool kids bags were designed originally for cycling families but these graphic styles can be used everyday and also holiday travel for the whole family.
The independent company is based in Hackney, East London and the designer and founder Jacqui Ma has a firm foundation to draw on having designed bags for Puma, Virgin Atlantic, Microsoft and Debenhams in the past.
In 2012 she went out on her own to design a small range of bags for urban cycling families. At the heart of Goodordering is the belief that if cycling is made more fun and accessible, more people will cycle more regularly and it will become safer and more beneficial to everyone. The company was founded in a flat on top of a bicycle shop on Broadway Market and now the brand has two stores, one in Shoreditch on Hackney road and the other in the Gangman district of Seoul, South Korea
The range of bags include cycling bags, nappy change bags and toddler bags and school bags. The first range was inspired by Japanese school bags and 80s retro travel bags. 70s and 80s references also give the bags a touch of nostalgia. The bags all have multiple pockets, extra padded straps and are water-resistant and hardwearing. One of the key features of the range is the bags multi-functional design, a pannier bag can become a shopper or a backpack.
The brand name comes from ‘good ordering’ which comes from the joy and satisfaction of ordering well at a restaurant, a reminder of Jacqui’s younger days with family visits.
The label has also recently launched a collaboration range with Transport for London which makes perfect sense. The shoot by Leonie Freeman was shot locally in the backstreets of Hackney.
