Our Free Tribe is a project which highlights the vital importance of children’s connection to nature.
Jo Wise (a floral artist) and Jade Soar (a make up artist) are creating visual stories showing the magical connection, joy and profound importance that nature plays in the wellbeing of children and how much it helps to shape them into happy people.
Jade explains how the project began “The project came about having had conversations about kids and technology, the worry about how it’s shaping their habits and tech addiction. If people in companies such as Facebook and Apple, pivotal people who helped built these platforms, are leaving and speaking out about the addiction concerns then the worries are very real.”
The hashtag #ourfreetribe will be used on Instagram and Jade and Jo are hoping it will inspire other mothers to post pictures of their children in nature, running free and happy, stomping in mud or laughing in the rain, building connections around the world.
‘Our Free Tribe’ will be an ongoing project and below is the first beautiful set of photographs taken by Victoria Evans. The shoot location was massive root ball of a fallen tree in the Chiltern Hills.
