Pitti Bimbo 88 news from the Italian kids trade fair for its next edition starting on January 17th 2019 and showing fall/winter 2019 kids fashion.
There will be 501 brands/collections at the next edition, 323 of which are from abroad and 107 of which are new names or return exhibitors.
Pitti is the biggest of the European trade shows for kidswear and has recently seen many new exhibitors from the Scandiavian countries as well as Portugal, Spain, the USA and other European or Eastern nations. There is always a good representation of British brands there too which makes for a wide choice for the kids fashion buyer.
The fair is divided into 11 sections which makes it pretty easy to sort out a schedule of viewing and each season brings a new area as the fair gains in popularity.
The Pitti Box is the main theme for Jan 2019, a tribute to the common character of our trade-shows: to be a Surprise Box, extraordinary tin-containers of ideas and innovations to open and switch from season to season, to tell the newest vibrations of fashion and lifestyle.
January also sees ActiveLab and Nest moving to a new area called Archivi nearer to the entrance which should see extra traffic for the cool active leisurewear brands and smaller independent labels from these sections.
In addition Pitti Bimbo will present An ActiveLab fashion show again, last season was the first. In addition shows for KidsFizz Apartment will also return. Other catwalk shows so far are Kids Fashion from Spain and Stefania.
Barbie turns 60 in 2019 and there will be a celebration of this anniversary and Pucci will have a breakfast event again at the stunning Pucci Palazzo which is invitation only.
