New kids knitwear brand Sunna Studios

New kids knitwear brand Sunna Studios is based in New Zealand and founded by sisters Elise and Brooke to be a sustainable children’s wear label.

They recently launched a capsule collection of loungewear; high comfort basics, made ethically with certified organic cotton yarn in sizes 1-7 years.

These are fully fashioned knits, designed and made with sustainability in mind. Using quality fibres, a gender neutral palette and timeless styles, the aim is for these garments to hold value and have a long garment life, to be well worn and well loved.

The pieces are made using New Zealand wool most of which is grown and processed by family owned farms with two types of yarn in the hand knit collections; Merino and Corriedale, which is the oldest of all the cross breed sheep varieties.

Cotton used is GOTS certified organic cotton which supports and conserve eco-systems, healthy soils, water supplies and people.

Free of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and grown naturally, it has substantial benefits over the long term, in fact less than one percent of all cotton grown is organic which is astonishing in the current climate and demand for organic product.
