Monnalisa presented a kids catwalk show in Florence for their fall/winter 2017 collection against a set of 5 giant video screens.
Held in the Stazione Leopolda, an old disused railway station the scale of the background was stupendous.
Their collection always has some familiar themes, there are always beautiful floral dresses and coats, there is always a cartoon collaboration from a classic kids favourite and there is always a beautiful couture like high end collection for special events. This season’s collaboration was with Disney and featured Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
Boys are a smaller part of the show but since its launch a few years ago the Hitchhiker boyswear collection has also done well.
Monnalisa have become one of the industry’s biggest players, something noted at the check in desk for the show where the piles of buyer tickets for seat numbers was at least 5 or 6 times bigger than the press contingent.
