Selfridges amazing Gingerbread house replica and more Xmas treats for Holiday 2012

Selfridges held their Christmas preview last week where press were treated to a retro style talk through of all the new collaborations and exclusives coming to the store for the Xmas holiday including the most amazing Gingerbread house replica of the store which can be made to order.

As expected there are a bundle of special treats to eat including bake your own cake packs and incredibly beautiful chocolate decorated edible baubles. The popular advent calender full of beauty products is repeated from last year in red with an additional calender of nail polishes in 24 different colours. Children’s items include a great fun full size Shark look sleeping bag, exclusive dresses from I Love Gorgeous and Bonpoint and special pieces from Little Marc Jacobs, Chloe and Ralph Lauren.

There are also some great hand made decorations from Haiti to look out for and a unique collaboration with Children in Need with giant Pudsey Bears by top fashion names such as Tom Ford and Jonathon Saunders.

Halloween and Christmas goodies, update from Hotel Chocolat for winter 2011

When I saw the Halloween and Christmas selection from Hotel Chocolat in July I thought it looked fantastic, I can’t believe they have added to it and made the range even better, my original post is here.

There really is something for everyone here,and its all done with fun and good taste, new items include extra Halloween goodies, Googly eyes, Pumpkins, skull and bones Boo bags and Count Choc-ula and a super duper posh box for the golden pirate’s head. New for Christmas is the sweetest dolls house made in a solid card so it can be used for play afterwards.

Needless to say, it not only looks good but tastes great too, well worth the extra pennies I’d say, its fast becoming my favourite chocolate brand.

A few more delightful Xmas gifts from Muji here as the Christmas range will be online in a few days now.

Muji has been the one consistent place I always go to for my son’s stocking fillers, there seems to be something for every age there plus its beautifully made and usually eco friendly too.

The Paul Smith shop has long been a favorite of mine for Christmas stocking fillers. He always has some quirky toy’s in store and delectable grown up stocking fillers too. There are good gifts also in the new children’s fashion collection from socks, scarves, knits and gloves to cartoonish T-shirts for the young ones all in his signature stripes.

I am delighted to see the tapemeasure paper chains and cool Alexander Girard nativity scene and building blocks which were presented in the Paul Smith Albemarle St furniture shop, hence the textured walls and half scraped wallpaper background in these pictures. Love the retro decorated camper van model too!
