Poppy England new storybook dresses for fall/winter 2013, kids fun in a chocolate factory

Poppy England have been much copied of late with their retro conversational border print dresses for girls and women popping up in various guises at most of the High St retailers.

In answer to this the new fall 2013 collection sees a change of styling with allover prints replacing the simple borders but the main design elements remain, each season has a little storybook to go with each dress and this time the tale is all about Poppy and Fred’s chocolate shop.

The shoot is quite whacky and wild set in its own chocolate world!

Elfen Couture for summer 2013, such beautiful and creative kids fashion.

Elfen Couture create some of the most exquisite kids fashion garments in the world, their summer 2013 collection is about to arrive online and in their facebook page and there is a really creative and stunning photoshoot to go with it.

Shot by longtime collaborators Otikwitteiker Team the theme of the collection is ”An Indochine Phantasma” the designer Selina v.Holleben says “the Asian inspired idea was to bring together different perspectives of being & seeing (traditional and modern, real, unreal, surreal, past & future, dream & reality) like children in their imaginations do, and create it into a new, progressive synthesis”

The silk kimono tops, kaftans and trousers have a 1920″s Art Deco feel to them but fused with modern Manga too. Based in Berlin with a beautiful atelier it really is unlike any other kids label around.

Misha Lulu, the creative kids clothing brand from South Pasadena for fall/winter 2013

Misha Lulu has been growing, from starting as a small family mail order brand this season they exhibited at Playtime New York, into the bigger pond for their whimsical take on nostalgia.

A new set of photos too from the talented photographer and blogger Flannery O’Kafka to illustrate the woodland / fairytale inspired collection for boys and girls for next fall / winter.Misha Lulu also have a cute take on old seasons stock with what they call their surplus store here for past seasons offerings.

Dino e Lucia, gorgeous soft summer shades for chic French kids fashion

Beautiful colours today from French kidswear label Dino e Lucia, soft pastel shades and delicate beading or sequin embroidery are a signature of this collection and with the softly gathered silk fabric this collection has a Grecian princess feel to it.

Dino e Lucia also have a more practical side with Liberty style floral cotton sundresses and playsuits and cotton jersey gatherered skirts but the strength of the collection does lie with the party look decorated items, there is even a couple of Mondrion homage dresses in red/white combinations for those after a 60′s retro feel.

Budget Baby, surprisingly good baby fashion from BHS for spring 2013.

The British High St stores have really raised their game over the last few years and with so little spare money around there are plenty of budget buys that can stretch the finances and allow for a little designer indulgance mixed in with a pragmatic approach to the High St.

I was recently wowed by the baby fashion at BHS, while the chains all seem to be doing great things for the 2-8 year age range sometimes the baby end seems to be left in a previous era with girls in soft pinks and Liberty style but not quite florals. Have a look at these zippy baby styles from BHS for next summer which couldn’t be more on trend!
