I have just come back from being away so this is just a quick post for all those stuck on the Eastern seaboard of the USA to say thinking of you and what a shame for the kids and Halloween this year.

Here are a couple of spooky pumpkins I spotted around, I am guessing most of the NYC ones got washed away!

Always beautifully done The White Company Christmas show makes you want to move in to their location straight away. Sadly this isn’t possible but taking a few ideas and checking out the decorations and toys is always a pleasure here.

This winter shearling is a feature on the homes side for cushions, giant beanbags and throws and very soft and cuddly it is too!

From The Little White Company there is a fab new felt toy soldier and great red and white handknit stockings plus some super chic and simple wooden toys for toddlers. The tree decorations have a vintage passed down feel and you will want to keep them for generations to enjoy, along with a special canvas envelope ‘Note to Santa’ who hopefully receives it in time!

Easter’s coming, redesigning the Easter Egg by Hotel Chocolat!

I always look forward to seeing what Hotel Chocolat have invented for a new take on the Easter Egg. Last year we had eggs and soldiers, this year we have egg and chips and oh my they are delicious.

The missing chip in the picture below was taken by me, oops I forgot to take my picture first at last weeks tasting for the new season but I can confirm that it was filled with soft caramel and most excellent!

Other new versions are the the half dipped egg, the Easter egg hunt basket, goofy Bunnies and a new animal Beastie egg with milk and white chocolate animal patterned shells, while for those who still have a full wallet superthick chocolate shells filled with pralines and soft centre mini eggs are available up to £70.

There is also a bit of a fab promotion in store and on facebook right now up till Easter Sunday where Hotel Chocolat customers will be given a room key when they shop to check in and collect a prize from their nearest store, every room key wins a prize but the star prize is a trip to the actual Hotel Chocolat in St Lucia. Next best prize is a years supply of goodies for 70 chocolate lovers. Now I know one never needs an incentive to buy some chocolate but that sounds pretty good to me!
