Dino e Lucia, gorgeous soft summer shades for chic French kids fashion

Beautiful colours today from French kidswear label Dino e Lucia, soft pastel shades and delicate beading or sequin embroidery are a signature of this collection and with the softly gathered silk fabric this collection has a Grecian princess feel to it.

Dino e Lucia also have a more practical side with Liberty style floral cotton sundresses and playsuits and cotton jersey gatherered skirts but the strength of the collection does lie with the party look decorated items, there is even a couple of Mondrion homage dresses in red/white combinations for those after a 60′s retro feel.

Chloe fall/winter 2013 kids fashion, minimal and classy.

Chloe children’s fashion for fall / winter 2013 continues with the brand’s signature soft colours and simple lines with a shot of strong red for the winter season. The soft fleshy pink tones are continued throughout but also joined by soft grey’s and mulberry and wine deeper reds too.

Shapes are reminiscent of structural 60′s shifts and simple tunics especially in a beautiful short sleeved grey wool dress that is as minimal as a kids dress could ever hope to be.

Some beautiful candid backstage shots from Norwegian kids fashion label Pale Cloud today from their recent fashion show at Petite Parade in New York. There is a focus on the details which are a key element of the design at Pale Cloud where shapes are often kept simple and wearable but fabrics are beautiful and decoration with embroidery, studding and openwork or frayed elements add the extra interest.

I have also added a shot from fall /winter 2013′s Pitti Bimbo exhibition with more beaded and studded details.

Pure London, ethical kids fashion label Nixie Clothing previews A/W 2013 in the new Junior section

Pure London has opened at Olympia in London and one of the must see exhibitors is Nixie Clothing. Here is a preview of the fall/winter collection with the much talked about Eagle headband – a collaboration with artist Sarah Lowes seen at Playtime Paris.

I missed the designer Nicole in Paris so I am heading down to Pure today hoping to catch up on all the collection.Nicole has always had an ethical philosophy and Nixie Clothing only uses sustainable, recycled or vintage fabrics for its designs.

Other must see Junior section exhibitors with great kidswear are French Connection, Firetrap and More Stories. Pure London is open today and tomorrow at Olympia exhibition centre, London W8.

Cherry Pick for kids fashion and the Rebel Showroom kidswear buyers event for a/w 2013

Not all kids clothing industry buyers can make it to the European shows that the press have been travelling to over the past two weeks, some of them can’t even make it to the London show Bubble so the life of a clothes agent doesn’t end with the closing of the trade fairs.

Julia Koorn is one of the well connected agents who sell designer kids fashion clothing in the UK for a couple of months after the trade shows end. Her company Cherry Pick for Kids represents some of the big Danish labels which are a byword for cool, BANGBANG Copenhagen, POPUPSHOP, LUCKYBOYSUNDAY and also interior brands Crazy Stuff, HanaBlomst and the British Lapin & Me.

Along with fellow agents she is part of the Rebel group who have a showroom in Acton which opens for business to fashion buyers for the A/W 13/14 season on the 8th February and runs to 8th March. I will certainly be popping along to see some of the brands I missed at the fairs.
