Back in the swing of things after the New Year celebrations with a fashion forward kidswear collection for the new spring season by French designers Finger in the Nose.

A byword for cool attitude and a great pair of skinny kids jeans here is their spring/summer 2013 collection.

Finger in the Nose s/s 13 – Biker themes are used for graphic T-shirt prints.

Finger in the Nose spring 2013 – Animal drawings are still strong in 2013 for graphic prints on kidswear as are animal photo prints too.

Finger in the Nose, a super cool brand for kids, trends for winter 2012

This French brand always manages to impart a cool look to their kidswear, its not overstyled or over fussy, just great basics with really well cut shapes and easy relaxed chilled out children in its phootgraphy.

Finger in The Nose are also starting to have fingers in many pies too with a collaboration with sunglasses ski specialist brand Vuarnet, a new store in Saint Germain des Pres in Paris and and extended range to teen girl sizes too up to 18 yrs old.

Finger in the Nose summer 2012 children’s fashion, tropical brights and animal heads

Finger in the Nose have a slightly softer collection for next summer’s kids fashion ranges as they introduce tropical prints and vivid brights mixed with softer sorbet shades and subtle sepia animal portrait prints on T-shirts.

The skinny jeans still remain the most popular shape but looser chino pants for boys are creeping in and long dresses for girls look cool.

Neon orange and vibrant green and blue are the solid brights which follow the summers intense colour trend for kids and the tropical theme is carried on with a pastel dolphin print on a tee for girls.

Superhero – great new kids fashion story from stylist Mindi Smith and children’s photographer Drew Sackheim

What a fantastic creative collaboration between New York based stylist Mindi Smith and photographer Drew Sackheim who have taken kids fashion for this winter and created a new range of child superheroes with attendant special effects.

Both Mindi and Drew have longstanding experience in the kids fashion arena, check out their other work here for Mindi and here for Drew and created this exciting story just too late for magazine publication deadlines so I am very happy to show the shots here.

The hair and grooming was by Gigi Gommers at Ford Artists.

At last I can bring you the Finger in the Nose winter campaign pictures I saw a while ago. They are truly stunning and reflect many of next winter’s key themes with wild forest creature prints, plaid wools and worker style peacoat jackets.

Some great boys images here too which is unusual. Good to see them looking strong.
