Its a Jungle out there! Kids tropical fashion for SS17 at Pitti Bimbo
The jungle seems to still have sway for SS17 with kids tropical fashion themes including palm leaf prints, exotic bird plumage and jungle animals very much in evidence for next years kidswear fashion trend collections. The mood at Pitti Bimbo 83 has been great, very upbeat and a busy first two days with exhibitors happy with the trade they have been doing.
AlishaV a new entry for kids catwalks at Pitti Bimbo 83
The self named label AlishaV is showing on the kids catwalks at Pitti Bimbo 83 for the first time this edition. Showcasing spring/summer 2016 this is an interesting story of one lucky little girl who was passionate about fashion with an older brother who happened to be a fashion designer! When Alisha was 9 her brother Martin Mataru was inspired to launch the label in Monaco in 2014, it has the stature and scope ...
Bubble London spring 2017 kids fashion trends
Bubble London spring 2017 trade fair for kids fashion was held this weekend. The combination of Fathers Day on Sunday and bucketing rain on Monday didn’t help visitors but the fair had a good selection of exhibitors to tempt buyers off their sofas. Collections at Bubble London veer between traditional Liberty style florals, ceremony fancy frocks and young new labels launching for their first or second seasons. Again there is an increase ...
Dot to Dot London kids fashion fair for S/S 2017
The first kids fashion fair of the season for me, kicking off spring/summer 2017 with Dot to Dot London. A different mix from 6 months ago with extended space needed at the front of the Vinyl Studios for extra exhibitors, at this rate the fair will need a new home shortly. There was an increase in lifestyle noticeable with more bedding, toys, bags and nursery decor items.
Anchovy kids design fashion driven by App for SS17
They are one of the more unusual kidswear companies, Anchovy  produce kids design fashion whose colour shaded prints are driven by their own customised App. Artists Giedre and Karolis started with an idea to make an interactive design tool that turns words into colour gradients simply by typing which came from their background as artists. Their daughter Juka was the first to try it out using an iPad, they loved the process and the patterns it created and decided to ...
Karl Lagerfeld Kids fall 2016
The initial launch this spring of Karl Lagerfeld Kids saw a surprising amount of sporty styles in the collection. For fall/winter things are looking a bit more sophisticated as the collection finds it feet and natural signature. An initial reliance on a logo led collection with many Karl silhouettes and Choupette cat symbols has been changed with graphic more cartoon like KL prints and smaller logo patches and the collection ...
Loud Apparel street style kidswear
Loud Apparel has a street style kidswear approach that sees the label stick to a monochrome palette each season with quirky graphics and accessories. Their winged cap for this summer has already seen a few imitations around on Instagram and their uncompromising approach has meant that it can be hard to distinguish one season from the last. It’s debatable whether this should even matter when your signature is so strong but buyers often ...
MiMiSol exquisite kids Italian fashion fall 16
MiMiSol kids Italian fashion is perfectly exquisite and one of the key exhibitors at the upcoming Pitti Bimbo trade fair which starts on the 23rd June. Here is a look at the fall/winter 2016 collection. Designer Imelda Bronzieri has themes that are always spot on, her details and fabrics are always stunning and her prices? Well lets just say the price reflects the standard here.
Cath Kidston rose print girlswear for winter 2016
Cath Kidston showed a surprising beautiful rose print girlswear collection for autumn/winter 2016, a style you would more usually associate with the summer collection. I think though roses for winter is a very cheery idea rather than the deep berry colours you often see for winter girls fashion. With a brilliant little Christmas cabin displaying decorations and giant stockings, the Santa Grotto had a sweet selection of babywear including a cute robin ...

New kids fashion label Outside the Lines previews its autumn/winter  2016 collection to the press today. Launched by two friends experienced in the fashion world, Phillipa Cloete and Kate Please who have both worked for some of the biggest brand names on the British High St. The collection is aimed to fill a gap in the girlswear market with affordable prices and a fun, feminine and comfortable approach but with an ...
