Via Kid_In here is a set of very strong children’s portraits by photographer William Hacker.
Wow, what a week for great kids photography this is turning out to be.
I love these new portraits by German kids fashion and advertising photographer Beatrice Heydiri, a range of Angels portraits but not all are so “angelic”
With the mix of teens and younger kids they have a very cool aesthetic and are a million miles away from the corny set they could have become.

I often prefer fashion photography of kids outdoors, I feel its a more natural place for them than stuck in a bare white studio but weather often dictates no other choices.
I love these shots for Milk Magazine from Karel Balas even though it looks like a grey day and one where you would normally retreat inside I think the greyness only adds to the amazing textured effect of the grasses. It looks as if the grass has been de-saturised while the clothes have been pumped up in colour.

Beatrice Heydiri has a very distinctive style of children’s photography, nearly always shooting in a landscape format with the kids right up close in the frame. I really can’t think of any other kids fashion photographer who approaches it in quite the same way but the result is always stunning.
This is a new set for Collezioni Bambini magazine for this winter’s cool kids fashion.

A great set of kids fashion pictures from Milk Magazine by British photographer Mark Shearwood which reflect a personal touch as his mother always dressed him and his brother alike, although they weren’t twins.
Stylist Rachel Caulfield however did have twins in her family so the shoot had meaning for them both and many of the children come from Mark’s native Manchester. Quite how Rachel managed to collect 2 and 3 versions of the same outfit from sample collections is a mystery, it can often be hard enough to get just one. “It took 3 weeks of emailing and phoning ” she said, to pull it all together but it certainly made for a memorable set of shots.
