Bubble London June 2012 for kids fashion summer 2013 – key trends in childrenswear to spot.

Wow where to start, this is a great Bubble London show with plenty of fresh new exhibitors to excite the buyers and press alike for kidswear next summer.

In this first post I want to concentrate on three key stories, one is colour, there was an abundance of yellow at the fair often with or complementary to mint green, its a key colour story for summer 2013 along with splashes of neon pink and orange. Flesh tones and soft pastels are still there but not as extensively.

Next there is so much detail around necklines, bows, ribbon thread gathers and square cuts feature strongly.

Lastly for today, it looks like the Flamingo is shaping up to be creature of the season, it’s the perfect colour, neon pink, elegant and can be reduced to cartoon simplicity, what could be better.

Marmalade and Mash, simple shapes in key colours and stripes are always a winner in the summer season for kids.

Bubble London, The Brits show their trends for kids fashion winter 2012

All British companies in todays Bubble London round up, some old names , some newcomers. The trends are more mixed up here as Bubble London has exhibitors that span all levels of the market but it is good to see some of the homegrown brands presenting strong collections for kidswear winter 2012.

Ones to watch are the ever beautiful Hucklebones, a foxy new line from Tootsa MacGinty, a strong second collection for Jessie and James, new interiors products by Dandy Star cushions, mugs, tea towels and posters, plus two newcomers this year – Weasel and Stoat and Rock ‘n’ Regal.

Bubble London begins, Aravore looks to the 60′s for their winter 2012 kids fashion colection

Great new looks from Aravore for the winter 2012 children’s fashion season launched at Bubble London today.

Unusually for the label they have moved into vibrant colour with a sunshine yellow and a super strong periwinkle blue for chunky hand knits and peaked caps. I especially like the contrast pocket bindings and edgings as seen on the boys shawl collared cardigan.

Designer Yanina promised a strong boy’s collection for next winter and it looks as though she has delivered!

Aravore in Crouch End, a chic kids fashion store in a chic road!

Aravore are well known for their quality organic and ethical children’s fashion range. As one of the leading UK ethical fashion design companies they recently won the Eco fashion Junior Magazine award and had a little celebration in their Park Rd, Crouch End store.

Not a part of town I am very familiar with but I was taken with how great the area is for shopping, Park Road has a fantastic cross section of stores selling mid-century modern desirables such as Solomon antiques shown below, vintage and new eclectic clothing and a wonderful chandelier store where the owner makes modern chandeliers in the classic Italian style.

Well worth a visit to the area, the Aravore store is a sweet boutique and has some quirky little gift items as well as the ever expanding superb kids and baby fashion and gift ranges.

Aravore sneak preview of summer 2012 showing at Bubble London, countdown 2 days left.

The fabulous Aravore will be showing their expanded new summer 2012 children’s fashion range at Bubble London on Sunday and Monday. Known for their quality and responsible sourcing, every item has a swing tag signed by the seamstress that made it.

There is also a new sports side to the collection with easy casual pieces in organic cotton pique including tennis dresses in Wimbledon green and yellow shades with matching tops for boys which was inspired by the coming London Olympics.

The main collection keeps its modern take on vintage with a limited edition vintage floral print bolero mixed with organic fabrics cotton voile, twill, linen and organic cotton knitwear.
