Playtime Paris kids trade show report for today in our round of trade show reports for the fall/winter 2017 season.
There are always some great creative brands at Playtime Paris, its often where you see the new emerging names which will dominate for the next few seasons and this year Tiny Cottons had quite a large space near the entrance with a mini video booth showing a short promotion film at the back of the clothing area. This indicates the growth of the label which has become a new editorial favourite.
One theme which top creative labels are adopting in different guises is awareness and protest.
Not all went as far as Milk & Biscuits banner holding mannequin and their Better Together theme but key label Bobo Choses had a protest against plastic overuse and its final end in in the ocean, and Hucklebones Artic ocean print was inspired by thinking of the decline of creatures in the wild.
As creatives these designers cant help but look at what is going on in the world and this will reflect through into their collections. Expect more protest themes as the world careers into even crazier directions.
