Hilda.Henri kidswear is inspired by the world of Opera for the fall/winter 2017 season for girls and boys from 2 – 16. Drama Queens and Kings are welcome!
The label will be at Playtime New York which starts on August 6th with SS18 for trade buyers but here we are looking at their beautifully crafted winter collection which won a coveted Milk magazine award at Playtime Tokyo last season.
Located in Vienna, Opera is a natural inspiration for the label and in particular Mozart since the birthplace of the Magic Flute is just around the corner from them hence the fall/winter collection is known as ‘Schikaneder’
Hand-painted prints emphasise the dramatic theme of the collection while gentle natural tones like grey, brown and off-white alternate with explosions of bright colours.
Hilda Henri’s signature feature, a boiled wool textile, presents itself in a new face with shimmering golden metallic or glowing in strong signal colors like yellow and cobalt blue.
Verena and Mirkus, the people behind Hilda.Henri, maintain the spirit of slow fashion and emphasise sustainable and fair production. The partners are an old-established family business with a longtime knowledge, settled in between the mountains and nature.
All collections are mainly manufactured in Austria, following the rules of a traditional handcraft with the best fabrics.
