Castlebaby, unique special occasion dressing for children from Spain.

Founded in May 2011, Castlebaby is a unique label from Spain catering for the layette and special occasion wear market, they are a new sponser for me and I am delighted to give them some showspace here for their stunning traditional formal designs.

The garments are outstanding in quality, delicate and use traditional handmade sewing techniques. Items for the children range from a baby layette of soft knitted cotton to a full length elaborate christening or communion gown.

Little Marc Jacobs shows a mini rocker style for kidswear for the fall/winter 13/14 season, cool graphics, graduated colour knits, lots of black and bright primaries give a wearable but trend led collection.

Its a much darker collection than the summer which featured bright orange, yellow and periwinkle blue, see it here.

Cool US label Mini and Maximus have a set of kids fashion pics shot on the beach that sum up the summer sunshine so perfectly.

This collection is called Shaka Muchacha and is inspired by the California surfing lifestyles.

Little Fashion Gallery in London and the baby doll pictures!

It was great meeting Marie Soudré-Richard yesterday in London at the press showing of her new own label range for Little Fashion Gallery.

Know as one of the chicest kids fashion websites and one of the original childrenswear sites having been running for 6 years now, Little Fashion Gallery has always had a stylish and quirky buy from the kids fashion market.

Launching her own label range this year was a natural if rather exhausting progression and she concentrates on simple well made basics in quality fabrics and cool fashion colours with an emphasis on day to day wear rather than special occasion. Cool graphic prints also front a T-shirt selection that has an affordable price point.

Marie is holding two pieces of the new Little Fashion Gallery line below. I also liked the island straw hats from the summer collection and loved the baby fashion photographed on dolls for the new issue of Little Fashion Gallery’s own seasonal magazine. None of that pesky crying business with these cuties!

Start-rite strong trend colours for kids footwear for summer 2013

Start-rite has brightened up some of their classic children’s shoe styles with strong vibrant colours for spring 2013.

This sweet shoot photographed by Katrina Tang showcases some of the new styles and colourways, not all the styles were bought by the individual shops in the UK but they are also available from overseas stockists including web stores.

I worked with Katrina on the production and art direction for the shoot with stylist Kate Van der Hage and we had a great day at the wonderful stately home location Wrest Park just outside Luton which the kids adored running round in.
