Fendi has produced a really lovely girlswear collection for fall / winter 2013 with classic shapes give a twist in beautiful fabrics and subtle yet effective trimmings.

The label which is produced by the Simonetta group shares the high production values of the Simonetta line and reflects the Fendi label’s heritage in a subtle yet effective manner.

Just look at those logo sweaters colour matched to sweet tutu skirts, the luxe leather hemmed coat and dress and the pintucked modernistic black shift dress.

Fendi is available at Alex and Alexa, Childsplay and Childrensalon.

Pitti Bimbo 76 highlights of the kids fashion fair for fall/winter 2013

Children’s designer fashion for next autumn/winter 2013 was once again well attended at Pitti Bimbo 76 with an astonishing 400 Russian buyers making the journey to look at the new trends and buy the top designers in kids fashion today.

Here is my personal view from the front, a quick first edit, more on the trends to follow, some interesting new entries were on the catwalk this time, both Quis Quis from Stefano Cavallieri and Philipp Plein presented strong collections and the spirit of winter was ever present with bare trees and snowy effect catwalks the most popular theme.

Patterned brocade appeared in nearly every collection at Pitti Bimbo for winter 2013 childrenswear

Children’s classic books formed the theme at Il Gufo, note the great shaded stitching on the hem of this red silk dress.

At the end of the Il Gufo kids catwalk show models handed out classic novels and lined the edge of the stage.

Cute opening child dancers at Quis Quis which had a colourful beginning for fall fashion 2013

Quis Quis featured some extravagantly beaded dresses which were a signature style of the designer Stefano Cavallieri’s old label I Pinco Pallino.

They haven’t had a catwalk show for a few years but children’s label Simonetta always have great desirable looks in key with current trends, there was a lot of tulle this season.

Philipp Plein from Germany was another new label on the kids catwalks at Pitti and he showed a very Rock’n'Roll cool aesthetic for winter 2013

The snowy forest was a favourite theme, here Philipp Plein boots feature the skull which peppered his kids collection for fall 2013

Dry ice for the winter feel at the finale of Twin-Set with brilliant baggy sequin or lace tops over black tulle skirts for the kids, super cool!

Morley has a cool vibe to its collections for kids fashion, they aren’t trying too hard and the clothes look lived in and easy to live in for children.

Pioneer kids fashion designer Anne Kurris and her mega flouro collection!

Always one of my favourite collections to see at the Trade fairs Belgium designer Anne Kurris has a fantastic collection for children this spring summer featuring many flouro items which she pioneered in kidswear well over a year ago.

Shot by kids specialist photographer Achim Lippoth they have used the colour theme playfully with a fairly cheap prop, millions of neon plastic straws, top marks for invention here.

Anne’s clothes always have a playful element but she is always one of the first with a new trend having used both photoprints of animals and metallics before they became mainstream in kidswear. There is a great selection of the winter animal T-shirts on sale at both Childrensalon and Alex and Alexa.

Lanvin kids fashion for spring 2013 is released pre Christmas online.

A new selection of the incredibly exclusive Lanvin girls collection has just been released online from the spring 2013 season.

There is a mix of vivid colour and dark navy and an unusual silver leather look 60′s shift dress all teamed with vibrant bright or metallic ballet pump style shoes.

Here is my pick of the nine looks available plus the amazing new set of Lanvin inspired Russian dolls at £125 and a brand new Lanvin colouring kit at £70 for the little girls stocking who has everything!
