A cute brand from Australia for kids fashion with an ethical stance – Udder

Udder began as so do many kidswear brands when the owner and designer Fliss Dodd had her first child.

As an artist and designer she quickly despaired of the usual plastic offerings and started her own brand Udder making toys, then clothes and now accessories and objects for the home. I love the feel of the photography here and note the cape for Halloween nights,.

Confusingly this collection is titled summer 12/13 but that’s Australian summer which is our winter, however these items will be great when the Northern Hemisphere summer rolls round again. The collections are ethically made in Bali using traditional printing techniques, recycled fabrics and hand printing.

  1. Thank you Linda for this lovely post on our brand. We feel very flattered you have included us here on Smudgetikka.
Apologies for the confusion on the 12/13 collection. Yes, this was designed for the Australian summer 12 carried into the start of next year. We are presently designing SS13 and look forward to introducing it first to the Northern Hemisphere early next year.
    Thank you again.
    Fliss
