Homespun Vintage was started by two LA mums Corrie and Kathleen with two lines inspired by their love of secondhand children’s clothes. One is recycled vintage clothing and the other is based on the same styles to complement the pre-loved range.
They have a different take on the recycled vintage styling to one of our British talents with a similar ethos Nixie, less pretty and more rough and tumble with applique badges and motifs sewn on to retro items. Its a more customised styling rather than entire re-making but it also makes for a personal feel to the kids clothing.
The label is growing with six US stockists already and they recently exhibited at Playtime New York with the winter 2012 collection which you can see below along with some choice summer pieces.

Homespun Vintage fall 2012 - I like that fairisle knit, checked shirt, vintage sweat hoodie combination.

Homespun Vintage fall 2012, I think pre-worn shoes are a trickier proposition but I do like the chunky red laces.

Homespun Vintage fall 2012 more great unusual combination with the printed lace ruffle neck under the smocked pinafore dress

Absolutely love the shoes but yes, would be tricky for sizing, wear, etc…
My friend runs an online vintage shop, though, and shoes do sell quite well…
