Established for 8 years in Japan the Fafa kids fashion label by Rie Eleni Miyaoka exhibited in Europe for the first time at CPH Kids in Copenhagen.
What a stunning visual treat the label was as well, her brightly coloured cheery girls clothes look modern and yet sometimes nostalgic all at the same time with classic stripes, gingham and floral prints mixed with lame metallics and edged in bright flouro net frills. There is a vast range of matching accessories and plenty of frilly bloomer shorts sets too.
Shapes are often assymetrical but look very easy to wear and unrestricting, clothes to have fun in. Until we know who has bought the collection Rie will sell by direct contact from her web shop in Tokyo. She terms her clothes treasury wear for women and children and believes they have a special appeal to children’s imaginations.
Rie has an exotic background, she has a Japanese father and Greek mother, studied at St Martins School of Art in London then worked in Los Angeles but left to start her own childrenswear line in Tokyo in 2003 and has now added womenswear too.

Looks like a very special clothing line. I especially like how she mixes traditional and modern elements in the dresses above. Wonder who’s gonna buy the collection!
yes, so cute and fun!
I love this label.
Oh I love all the ribbon accessories! I also especially love that ribbon top and ruffled bottom in that last shot. Really interesting and cute!
