Congratulations are in order to Marie Soudre-Richard, the owner of Little Fashion Gallery who now has a 3 week old little baby boy called Jacques to dress in the new collections that are starting to appear on her website.

Marie has a very chic eye and has picked up early on some of the best collections around including the crazy wonderful headresses from Le Tour de Force and the great bags and jewelry of April Showers.

Grey is one of the most popular colours in the designer children’s fashion market for this coming winter and I found some great pieces just in on the Little Fashion Gallery site.

Replay children’s fashion autumn 2010 campaign pics, wow forests are popular!

As kids designer labels go Italian brand Replay are pretty innovative often using identical styles for the little ones as they have in the adult ranges.

Their a/w 2010 pictures are really cute and feature yet again a forest location, seems to be the place to be this winter for kids! I love the way the camouflage jacket disappears into the tree and the jeans draped wigwam. Can’t think of a better place for teddy bear hostages either. The photography is by Stefano Azario who is one of the world’s best children’s photographers.

Wild food, a ton of blackberries for free!

I went scavenging yesterday in Wimbledon having seen that blackberries were ripening on garden hedges around me and got a massive haul.

At least a kilo worth and all for free and going to waste as nobody else seems to be picking them. When I was a child we would instantly pick off any ripe blackberries we could see but nobody seems to do that anymore.

I’m going back today as the bushes are heaving with them at the moment.

Can't get much more local than this, it took me an hour but what a great haul.

Habitat Christmas 2010, Footsteps through the Forest

An enchanted forest tale for Habitat’s Xmas 2010 launch. The influence of Scandinavia comes through very strongly here with natural wood tones, red and white as the dominant colour scheme.

Christmas tree decorations are in natural wood with cut outs of reindeer, squirrels, owls and trees or in red glass for apples and pears or feathered hummingbirds. Gold and silver bells and baubles are joined by a great 50′s retro robot decoration thats definitely on my shopping list for this year’s Christmas tree.
